First Forum of Masters Project Managers

The inaugural “Forum of Master Project Managers” was held July 12-14, 1999. The program began with a dinner during which the participants introduced themselves, Terry Little, Program Director for the Joint Air-to-Surface Stand-off Missile, Department of Defense, gave a talk entitled “Faster, Better, Cheaper,” followed by questions and answers.

The Forum included presentations on sharing experiences between NASA Centers, Best Practices, and a discussion of Strategic Issues. A series of small-group and large-group discussions gave participants opportunities to share stories and network with their peers from other Centers.

Finally, NASA Administrator Daniel Goldin addressed the group and responded to questions. Dr. Edward Hoffman, Director of the Academy of the Program/Project and Engineering Leadership concluded the Forum with a talk on the topic “Where Do We Go From Here?”
