Introduction

Located in the Operations Support Building II (OSB II) at Kennedy Space Center, the Academy Center for Excellence (ACE) is a state-of-the-art training facility that supports APPEL courses, workshops, knowledge sharing events, and other APPEL sponsored programs.


Facilities

ACE currently has three (3) training facility classrooms. They range in size, with the smallest room accommodating 20 participants and the largest accommodating as many as 40. Each room provides audio/video equipment and support. The configurations of the rooms cannot be changed. Here are brief descriptions of what is available in each room.


Room 1022 – Classroom Style

  • Capacity: 20 seats
  • Projector screen with overhead speakers
  • NASA PIV badge required to log in to desktop computer
  • Laptop connectors
  • Power hubs/outlets on tables
  • Whiteboard
  • Room configuration cannot be changed

Room 1027/1029 – Classroom Style

  • Capacity: 40 seats
  • Two (2) large TV monitors with overhead speakers
  • NASA PIV badge required to log in to desktop computer
  • Laptop connectors
  • Power hubs/outlets on tables
  • Flip charts and Whiteboard
  • Room configuration cannot be changed

Room 1041 – Pod Style

  • Capacity: 30 seats
  • Two (2) large TV monitors with overhead speakers
  • NASA PIV badge required to log in to room computer
  • Laptop connectors
  • Power hubs/outlets on tables
  • Flip charts
  • Room configuration cannot be changed

 

When not otherwise scheduled, outside organizations/groups can reserve the ACE facility classrooms for training purposes. Contact the ACE Facility Manager, Dallas Neener, to determine availability and how you can utilize our training rooms for your event(s).
