NASA’s Chief Knowledge Officers (CKO), NASA knowledge community, and project and program practitioners are invited to a unique knowledge sharing conference at Johnson Space Center (JSC), April 27 – 29, 2015.

The second Knowledge 2020—or “K2020 2.0”—will gather together practitioners from across NASA, other governmental agencies, and private industry leaders. In partnership with JSC’s CKO, NASA’s CKO is hosting its second K2020 conference to engage the NASA knowledge and project community to meet the challenge of the recent Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP) recommendations on improving the sharing of knowledge across the agency using lesson learned and incentives.  Together, participants will hear from speakers from industry and academia on leading practices. Confirmed speakers include:

  • Ralph Basilio, Astrophysicist and project manager, NASA Jet Propulsion Lab
  • Tim Bridges, Director, Knowledge Management, Boeing
  • Don Cohen, Writer and consultant on organizational knowledge and social capital
  • Anthony Luscher, Professor, Ohio State University
  • Jean-Claude Monney, Global Knowledge Management Lead, Microsoft.
  • John McQuary, Consultant, formerly of Fluor
  • Larry Prusak, Writer and founder of the IBM Institute for Knowledge Management
  • Dan Ranta, Consultant, formerly of ConocoPhillips

All participants will engage in activities related to Agency-wide and industry-wide knowledge sharing, through question-and-answer panel discussions and breakout work groups engaged in the real-life ASAP recommendations. Learning will be related directly to oversight organizations objectives for better knowledge services and sharing through procedural, technological and institutional constructs.  The conference kicks-off at the Hilton Clear Lake begins at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 27. The conference continues in JSC’s Gilruth Center – Lone Star Room, Tuesday, April 28, beginning at 8:30 a.m., and runs through, Wednesday, April 29, ending at 12 noon.
