Brindley McGowan, Manager of Technical Education and Training at the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL), received the Space Flight Awareness Award in March 2009.

McGowan, who has worked closely with the Academy of Program/Project & Engineering Leadership for many years, received recognition for his role in creating world-class courses in systems engineering, design engineering, and program/project management. He recently played an important role in the development and review of the Academy’s in-depth courses Innovative Design for Engineering Applications (IDEAS) and Design for Manufacturability and Assembly.
