Glenn Research Center Hosts Two-Days of Knowledge Sharing

Glenn Research Center (GRC) will host a two-day knowledge sharing and learning opportunity on July 12–13, 2016.

GRC’s Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) Marton Forkosh and Human Resources Specialist, Kathy Clark are partnering with Goddard Space Flight Center and the Agency Chief Knowledge Officers Dr.’s Ed Rogers and Ed Hoffman to provide exciting Showcase of Knowledge Sharing sessions.

If you are at Glenn Research Center July 12 and/or 13:

  • Participate in “Peer-to-Peer”, a new concept in knowledge sharing, partnering early career professionals with late career practitioners for well-rounded discussions about working at NASA – working on successful projects and sharing stories about what made them successful, challenges experienced and how those challenges were resolved…or not; stories about failures, and what contributed to the failures, what was learned from the experience, and how that learning has been applied; and even stories about current struggles and how they are impacting their work.
  • Plan to attend two live Masters with Masters interviews, facilitated by Dr. Ed Hoffman, that bring together master practitioners to reflect on their experiences, lessons learned, and thoughts about upcoming challenges. These conversations yield fresh insights, promote reflection and open sharing, and serve as a learning resource for NASA’s technical workforce. Masters with Masters reflects the Academy’s ongoing efforts to create a cohesive community of project management and engineering practitioners across NASA who value the free exchange of knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Join us in this unique opportunity to participate in Case Study learning with Dr. Ed Rogers, and see why reflections and engaging discussions on real NASA cases on project and program successes and mishaps leads to deep learning and understanding.
  • Have you heard some good stories that others could learn from? Why not come and learn about how NASA case studies are developed and written. This is a 1 hour introduction to case writing. Those who are interested will then go off and draft a case study outline and have follow up guidance sessions to help them produce their first case study for use in NASA training venues. The case study methodology developed by Dr. Rogers is broadly based on best practices for case development and writing. NASA needs to learn from our own experiences. Be a part of NASA’s future.

See the schedule of events below, and join us for an unforgettable knowledge sharing and learning opportunity!
