On Friday, April 3, 2015, the Federal Knowledge Management Community will be hosted at NASA Headquarters.

The FKMC meets quarterly at participating federal agencies to share strategies for Knowledge Management (KM) and brainstorm creative solutions to make KM more effective within individual agencies, across the federal system, and beyond.

During this second meeting in 2015, Ed Hoffman, NASA Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) will share the updates and findings of the Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel on NASA Knowledge Services; during the afternoon session, Turo Dexter, DOT, and Susan Snyder, Inuteq LLC, will share the findings of a recent FKMC Survey, which queried members on ways to enhance the Community of Practice.

One of the most notable improvements for the meetings in 2014 was the success of virtual participation, which included enhancements through Adobe Connect, featuring chat and virtual break-out rooms for the group problem-solving activity and supporting improved hearing and voice input. Adobe Connect will be available for remote participants during the April 3 session (see details on Max.gov).

The meeting will take place at NASA HQ, 300 E Street, SW, Washington, DC. Doors open at 9 am, and the program begins at 9:30 am.

Please visit the Knowledge Management Community site on http://www.max.gov to register or learn more about the FKMC.

Please contact Susan Snyder or call 301-837-3918 with questions.
