This training workshop introduces project managers and those involved in federal contracting to the document that governs the federal acquisition process: the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Participants will gain an understanding of the FAR system and its underlying basis, and become familiar with its structure and content.

Project managers and technical personnel interested in obtaining a fundamental knowledge of the FAR and its relationship to the NASA FAR Supplement.

Mr. Cunningham has extensive experience in contracting from his roles as Chief of Contracting, Contract Administrator, and Contracting Officer. He also has extensive outsourcing experience, primarily in the areas for IT and communications. Harold has received numerous recognition throughout his 30 year career for excellence in contracting, which included receiving the Air Force Space Command Outstanding Contracting Unit for three consecutive years. The Squadron earned an “Outstanding” operational readiness rating, the first in over 25 years.
Mr. Glowacki served in various contracting positions from contract specialist to warranted contracting officer in operational, specialized, logistics and systems contracting. With over 28 years of Federal contracting experience in roles such as Director of Contracting, Dave brings his expertise to the courses he teaches for the acquisition workforce. Those courses include DAU-equivalent courses for FAC-C and DAWIA contracting certification, and FAC-COR and DoD COR mandatory and continuous learning training requirements for contracting officer’s representatives.
With over 30 years in the contracting field, Dr. Hutchens draws from his experience as an author, adjunct professor, Contracting Officer, and Chief of Contracting while teaching courses for the acquisition workforce. Most notably, he was a principal player in the development of a nationwide automated procurement system, and provided technical guidance to a field staff of over 100 employees. Dr. Hutchens wrote the contracting curriculum and personally taught 800+ field employees about acquisition management.
