This course is designed to prepare newly assigned NASA Project Managers or those interested in becoming Project Managers with the fundamentals of Project Management. Attendees will develop an understanding of planning and controlling a project budget and managing the project schedule. Project Charter, Work Breakdown Structure, and Risk Matrix will also be covered. Participants will acquire the tools they need to be successful team leaders and engage stakeholders effectively. Case studies that illustrate these PM principles will include NASA guidelines and requirements. The course follows along with the principles and guidelines set forth in the NASA Project Management Handbook, NPR 7120.5, and the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK)® Guide.
